CULTURE

FLY NERD culture, born from the streets, is a vibrant tapestry of music, art, fashion, and language that reflects the complexities of urban life. At its core lies the pursuit of originality, a nuanced element that drives artists and creators to express their unique voices. This quest for authenticity often leads to a dynamic interplay between innovation and influence, where new ideas emerge while drawing from the rich history of the identity as Original people. As hip hop continues to evolve, the challenge remains: to honor traditional roots while pushing boundaries, making originality an ever-relevant conversation in both the music and its broader cultural impact.

ORIGINAL

Fly Nerd Group, also known as the FNG, is a Chicago based creative arts collective of like minded individuals who bring abstract and open-minded dialogue that addresses a range of topics—from Hip Hop and comic books to filmmaking, and Chicago urban culture—to the mainstream. The collective was founded in 2018 by Filmmaker, Photographer, and Nacrobats Emcee, Cosmo Galactus as a podcast focused on Hip Hop and Comics with co-host comic book aficionado, Sean Moon and Screenwriter/Sartorialist, Amby Warhol.

How you livin’?

FLY NERD GROUP is Revolution! It is Change! It is the liberation of expression from the evil clutches of conformity. The mission of FNG is to challenge the boundaries of traditional media and to completely innovate the way ideas are both presented and viewed. We represent those who are not afraid to defy genre. We refuse to follow the trends and instead chose to become the trendsetters, both artistically and socially.
